In School Opportunities

the Future of marine biology

The most unique educational offering at the Reef Institute are our school opportunities. At this level of education we begin to build a skill set that enables students to care for the life in the sea. At this level schools agree to bring in our scientists to engage students into the classroom in some way. This can be in the form of an on site field trip, monthly education, after school programmin or marine science club.

We work with each educational site to develop the program that fits their needs. This can be a combination of onsite teaching, outdoor classrooms, and distance learning. The goal is to genuinely work with a school or program so students become excited about learning and changing the world as a whole. This program is for schools or co-ops working with students in K-12th grade.
